1.Booking and Payment
∙Bookings are confirmed only upon receiving a confirmation email from Baka Books. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure the room.
2. Cancellations and Amendments
∙Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a 50% fee. No refund is given for same-day cancellations.
∙Amendments to bookings must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
3. Use of the Venue
∙The venue can only be used for the purpose stated in correspondence with Baka Books. The hirer is responsible for the conduct of attendees and any damages during the hire period. Smoking, illegal activities, and hazardous materials are prohibited.
4. Hire Period and Room Capacity
∙The hire period includes set-up and cleanup time. Overstaying may result in additional charges. Each room has a maximum capacity, and exceeding this limit may lead to termination of the hire without a refund.
5. Liability and Cleaning
∙Baka Books is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the hire. The hirer is responsible for leaving the room in its original condition. A cleaning fee may apply if the room is not left tidy.
6. Noise, Disturbances, and Force Majeure
∙The hirer must ensure noise levels are kept minimal to avoid disturbances. Baka Books is not responsible for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters. By booking, the hirer agrees to these terms and conditions.
