It shows the resilience of common Indian rural folks in wake of adversity and leaving a strong footprint of Mother India on the rich soil of Fiji. The book leaves us in no doubt about the immense contribution Indian Diaspora has made in richness of the cultures of adopted countries. It also shows the love and affection showered by locals on these Indians whom fate has brought to these far-flung lands. I’s not only a narrative about the movement of Indian indentured labourers but of human sacrifices and creating a world of its own which have been free from limitation imposed by the society it has certainly integrated these sons and daughters of India in one big Family.  We have a rich heritage and we should be proud of it.
